“Seestadt Aspern” is one of the largest urban development projects in Europe. A city within the city. An urban development lighthouse project. In the east of Vienna, a new quarter has been created that combines nature with urbanity and embeds a wide variety of buildings around the lake in an extensive green space.

The building site J3A, located in the first row at the lake, allows unique perspectives to the lake park. The building structure, which is bent in the direction of the wind, is given an unmistakable significance by its sculpturing and the cutting out of a generous “urban loggia” – the urban loggia on the NW facade. An “interior” open space with a high quality of stay is created.

As many facade surfaces as possible should be oriented directly or angled towards the lake park and the lake. By moving the high-level building from the second floor away from the building lines and staircases, downdrafts and turbulence in the pedestrian area in Maria-Tusch-Strasse and Janis-Joplin-Promenade are avoided.
