Design in competition for the opera house of the future
Our design for the opera house of the future, created in collaboration with MOON Architektur ZT GmbH, envisions the planned new building as a social sculpture: threshold-free, barrier-free, and deeply intertwined with the urban space.
Public ground floor areas, a central forum, green roof landscapes, and consumption-free lounges make art, education, and everyday life visible and tangible.
Sustainability is consistently taken into account – from the preservation of existing basements to geothermal energy and photovoltaics to green facades and climate-active open spaces. A building that not only hosts performances, but also promotes artistic processes, encounters, and participation.
